On Thursday, American lit finished reading Unit 2 and began working on Unit 5 vocabulary. Then, on Friday, they took the Huck Finn test and began reading "Thanatopsis."
On Thursday, British lit began reading Edmund Spenser's sonnets, reading Sonnet 30, learning about the Spenserian Sonnet, and practicing paraphrasing. We continued reading Spenser on Friday, finishing Sonnet 75 and discussing its relation to Shakespeare's Sonnet 18.
