American Lit received the memorization passage for the Unit 3 test (*below*) and had their Lincoln worksheet (front and back) checked for homework. The students then received notes about Realism, which can be found on pages 576-77 in the textbook in an expanded form. Then, the students began Ambrose Bierce's "An Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge." Vocab 8 exercises are homework tonight.
British Lit took their 17th Century Test and were assigned AQWF Chapters 1-2 due for homework tomorrow. The study guide is NOT homework, but will serve to direct students in their reading.

"Tell All the Truth but Tell It Slant" -- Emily Dickinson
Tell all the Truth but tell it slant---
Success in Circuit lies
Too bright for our infirm Delight
The Truth's superb surprise
As Lightening to the Children eased
With explanation kind
The Truth must dazzle graduallyOr every man be blind---
